Since the age of just 16, Savvy B has been turning heads and tuning in the ears of ravers and artists alike. From a little lass came a big personality, and her ability and confidence on the mic has shone through and caught attention from around the globe.
She first appeared on one of the best known radio stations in the UK, Origin FM. Savvy B was the youngest ever MC to perform on the award winning radio station Rough Tempo, and debuted in 2016. She then went on to be picked up by a local drum and bass collective known as Garden of England, performing at both Ramsgate and Margate Carnival on their float - courtesy of DJ Fly. Through the support of those around her, combined with her hunger for more, she quickly became recognised by the drum and bass community and started to appear in more and more venues across the country.
Between 2016 to 2018, Savvy found herself across the Channel in Europe spending some time living in Amsterdam and later in Tenerife. During this time she performed for the Dutch drum and bass collective Bassball in Den Haag supporting Levela and Upgrade, performed for one of Amsterdam’s best known radio station’s, Amsterdam’s Most Wanted, and also performed at Cheeky Monday’s before it’s move to Melkweg.
After coming back to the UK and studying to obtain her diploma for 2 years meaning she spent some time away from performing live, Savvy B found herself delving back into her hip hop roots and started writing and producing more content than she had ever before. Starting her 32 Bar Thursday's series, a weekly programme shared on Instagram, each week she would share a 16 bar on a fresh genre, allowing her to not only boost her online presence further greatly, but to promote the versatility of her work too. And then, in 2020, the world went into lockdown. In late 2020 Savvy packed up and moved to the Mecca of drum and bass…Bristol.
Savvy had previously wrote and recorded an acoustic song titled “Love Me”, which she initially recorded on her phone and shared with her followers online - this, got a lot of attention. A friend had recommended she send it to BBC Introducing…and so, she did. A few weeks later, James Threlfall played “Love Me” on BBC Radio Introducing in the South West - Savvy B’s first ever radio play!
In 2022 BBC Radio 1’s Charlie Tee hosted an MC Competition on Instagram, with the prize being an opportunity for 5 MC’s to join her at 5 different festival shows throughout the summer; Savvy took this huge opportunity and smashed it, earning herself the chance to perform with Charlie at NASS Festival opening up the Hangar Stage together. Later in the year, Savvy went on to perform for Annix in Liverpool and in December she performed at the AFT Records competition ran by the one and only Carasel MC, and won! This success finalised a year of what was a very busy and exciting one for Savvy.
At the start of 2023, Savvy B was invited to become the touring MC for Charlie Tee and ever since then, the duo have been dominating the scene by force! They have taken over stages across the world, performing for the some of the scene's most reputable brands such as Worried About Henry, Hospitality, Crucast and DNB Allstars, shelling their sounds across Europe in Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, the Channel Islands and more.
2024 was the year that Savvy flew out to the Alps and played Snowboxx Festival for the first time and shared the mic with Charlotte Haining on the main stage, played at the collosal Drumsheds, flew out to Portugal with the DNB Allstars family and Croatia for Hospitality in the Beach,
The last year truly saw Savvy DOMINATE the scene by force! Performing across Europe for the likes of DNB Allstars in Portugal, DJ Mag in Budapest and Royal Rumble in Germany, she couldn’t stop there… 2025 was her third year of playing both Glastonbury Festival and Boomtown with Charlie, having smashed the mighty Origin stage in front of around 30,000 ravers in 2023, bringing the vibes in the sunshine at the Glade Dome at Glasto 2023, then performing on the Wrong Side of the Tracks (Boomtown) and Nowhere stage (Glastonbury) in 2024...in 2025, the pair not only made a lifetime of dreams come true by returning to Glastonbury to the Glade Dome, and then on Sunday morning as the sun rose upon PIlton Farm, Savvy and Charlie played the mighty Temple stage. She headed out to Beats For Love in Ostrava in the July, and in August, not only did Savvy perform on one of the biggest stages at the one and only Boardmasters in Newquay, in the same weekend, If this wasn't enough, they then went on to make drum and bass HISTORY, playing on the newly founded The Lion's Gate at Boomtown with a NEVER SEEN BEFORE B2B between the legendary Andy C and Charlie, with Savvy sharing the mic with the one and only Tonn Piper!
Savvy also won 3rd Place in the Best Female MC category of the Drum and Bass Awards 2025!
With what has been achieved up to now, there really is no saying what Savvy might do next… it is safe to say that her journey as a whole has been nothing but exciting so far, so keep your eyes peeled for more to come!
